MIDI PENCIL SKIRT

Happy Friday! There are those items you come across and you instantly feel that you must have them. That was the case with this skirt. I am lacking in skirts and being choosy too makes finding a piece that speaks to me difficult. This one was different though and also cheap just $2. I intend to pair it with many tops in my wardrobe so be prepared to see it often.
That shadow on the right is my armature photographer's finger. Did not have time for retakes.
See you on Monday.

JUMPSUIT

Happy Wednesday! Finally my search comes to an end. I have been on the search for a jumpsuit, even tried online but prices were on the higher side (am that thrifty). A random visit to my local thrift market in a heap of skirts I find this jumpsuit and to add in African jungle prints. Such a score and for just 3 dollars. I used black accessories but I look forward to wearing it with red accessories, I love color that adds life to an outfit.

REPEAT OFFENDER - AFRICAN WEAR

Happy Monday folks. I have worn this outfit before here. What I find with African prints is that they are complete by themselves and therefore accessorizing is always by adding jewelery, scarves or belts and also wearing the skirt and tops as separates. Today I added an Obi belt to this outfit and an African pendant necklace. Going with the prints I added the zebra striped shoes. How else would you style your African print?Let us get chatting on the comments.

KHAKI + PALE YELLOW

Happy Friday folks. I must admit that as much as red is not my favourite color it adds glamour and life to an outfit and I almost instinctively find myself adding a shade to any outfit.
The skirt I am wearing today has been in my closet for awhile now, have worn it before here. It is size 12 while I recently graduated to a size 10, with a belt to hold it in place at the waist it just fits well. It was rather plain too and I had to tailor it by adding the pleats at the hem. Enjoy your weekend, see you on Monday.

PATTERNED SKIRT + CROP TOP

Happy Wednesday folks. It is awhile since I wore either this top or skirt. The last time I wore this top here Kelly of Fashion me blog commented that I should try and pair it with a patterned skirt. This skirt is the perfect combo for the top, Can also go well with dark green and mustard or even black. I like such outfits that give me a lot of options for pairing. I have also worn it here with yellow blazer. These shoes I have had them for more than 5 years, yes, that is what you get from a good thrift purchase.

FAITHFUL

Happy Monday folks. I intended to make this post on Friday but we had electricity issues the whole day. Well, This denim short is upcycled from a denim trouser. I don't lose what I love easily and when it was time up for the trouser I thought that getting a short out of it will make it be around
longer. also worn here and here.

It was quite chilly in the morning and I chose this light mustard sweater top to keep warm and still not get cooked when the sun comes out. I added the black blinged vest for glamour, trust me without it and the scarf this outfit is rather boring and plain. And Oh! I got a hair cut.

CROPPED PANTS

Happy Wednesday folks. I have been having very early mornings and therefore I miss taking pictures in the morning sunshine. I am now reduced to asking any willing person to take for me the blog pictures, the backgrounds are therefore not very appealing and it is always a rush to get done with the activity. I hope to get a camera in the new year that will give me better shots. For now my phone will still do.

This cropped pants is so versatile, endless pairing possibilities. I have worn it here , here and here.
I added a belt to match the shoes and also to accentuate the waist.

REPEAT OFFENDER - AFRICAN PRINT

Happy Monday folks. I have worn this dress before here. As it is, the only different ways I think of styling it is with contrasting colors for head wraps, shoes, necklace and maybe a belt. This time the focus was on color red. I apparently include a lot of red in my outfits but surprisingly it is not my favourite color. And this was a mid day shot, all shadows falling on my face. Always a no no.

BURGANDRY JACKET

Happy Friday. This jacket was supposed to be my sister's. After washing it and ironing I decided to try it on. I loved it. I think she's a size 6, and I felt that this jacket will be too big on her. Sorry sister, am keeping this. The jacket has golden buttons and almost automatically calls for gold accessories but I decided to be more adventurous and used African jewelery for earrings and necklace. I look forward to pairing the jacket with plain colors too, a plain white comes to mind.
 Enjoy your weekend folks.

MINT GREEN VINTAGE

Happy Thursday folks. This vintage dress is a gift from Mom. Always great choices from her. I had to google it. The label reads Lazarus of London, I discovered it belongs to the 1980s.I love the double breast buttons. Decided to pair it with silver jewelery built around the silver on the buttons and I added silver wedges. Since I love color, a red belt to finish off the outfit.  I look forward to wearing the dress under a skirt and see how the look comes out.

WHITE ON WHITE + NAVY BLUE

Happy Monday folks. If I had a white skirt, I would have done a full white on white attire. Lacking on that did not stop me from pairing the tops. The temperatures are rather high and I therefore chose these light tops, that even when layered am still comfortable.
