AFRICAN PRINTS

Happy Monday! This is another African print that I rarely wear. Its colors are a little bit dull and I therefore added some life to it by using the red head wrap and yellow flower. And these shoes I have to some are the most comfortable high heel sandals I've had in a long time.

SHEER BLOUSE

This dress will find its way into the donation bag end of this year. It is getting smaller at the bust and the finishing was not that good. The tailor put the zip on the right yet am right handed. Always a nightmare when zipping it. It is part of a suit, I get to keep the blazer accompaniment though.
Still continuing with the head wraps and today I combined blue and red to add more color, will try to get a firmer wrap as a loose wrap makes it look big. Enjoy your weekend.

ONE OUTFIT MANY WAYS: SKIRT

This skirt was part of a suit. I did not like  the coat/blazer. The blazer quickly made it to the donation bag. But this skirt has been timeless. I even upcycled it, chopped off the extra length to make it a mini. It is another versatile piece in my wardrobe, so many pairing these are just a few. Getting an outfit that I can wear many ways makes me have a manageable wardrobe, am not a hoarder either and every year a lot of my outfits find their way into my donation bag.

AFRICANA

This African print was a fabric gift from my Mom. I then took it to my tailor who charged me Ksh. 1500.00 for making it. My input was just that it get's a high waist and be long to reach my ankles. I get to wear this dress at most twice a year. I look forward to more years of wearing it, a timeless piece it is.

Well, I thought of tying a blue head wrap but to add more color, I went with yellow and a touch of red with the flower. African attires are bold and therefore am still in search of some bold jewelery to wear with this outfit. Lovely day folks.

CROPPED

The cold is quickly setting in. Keeping warm while still remaining stylish is still my goal. The red top I've had since campus days. Some items are just to be worn forever. It happened that today is a cropped outfit day, what with the pants and denim jacket? Pure coincidence. Keep warm Kenyan folks.

NEUTRALS

A weather that is not decided, toggling between cold and hot. Makes it tricky dressing up. Sometimes it is a gamble, like today, dressed for the sunshine and a jacket in the bag just in case it gets cold sometime in the day.
I've always worn this skirt as a sun dress here, well, today I get to wear it as a maxi skirt. Another versatile piece in my wardrobe. Enjoy your weekend folks.

VERSATILITY

This short is always my to go to wardrobe item whenever am running late. Today being one of such days, I get another opportunity to get another way of dressing this versatile short. The sweater top which is wearable both in cold and hot weather is another gift from Mom from the thrift market. I decided to maintain the pink shade of the short by using the faded pink belt.
And silver heavily used on shoes, neck piece and earrings.

BEING DIFFICULT

I bought this t-shirt some years ago. I think I get to wear it twice a year. The message on it I AM NOT TRYING TO BE DIFFICULT, IT COMES NATURALLY. Now that's loads of attitude. Well, I am not difficult, but the expression on peoples faces whenever they read the message is amazing. Putting a smile on somebody's face is always the aim of wearing this t-shirt.
