KHAKI + YELLOW

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. The Kenyan winter is already here and layering is a must. The mornings and evenings are particularly very cold, though it gets warmer in the day but not warm enough to drop your sweater or blazer.  I added a yellow scarf to brighten my day.

RED + WHITE + NAVY BLUE

Happy Friday! The cold season is finally here and that now calls for some layering. It has been awhile wearing some outfits in my closet and I look forward to pulling out the warmer outfits.

Today's outfit was built around color red and I like its simplicity, no frills, fits the day.

And today my is my sister Bella's graduation. I am very happy for her achievement. She is graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Community Health and Development. And the party is later this evening. Today's outfit was taken earlier in the week and so you can follow me on Instagram to see what I have worn for the occasion.

Until Monday folks, have a lovely weekend.

CORAL + BLACK

Happy Wednesday! The rainy season is on its tail end. Just a little sunshine and we are into the 'Kenyan winter', no snow falls but temperatures get quite low.

I decided to bare the arms to soak in the sunshine. The skirt I am wearing today is actually a high-low sundress, last worn here. I like its versatility and I look forward to proper summer when I can wear it without any layering. These photos were taken before 7.00 am in the morning since I have been reporting to work quite early of late.

If you have been keen, you will notice that I am growing back my hair. I intend to keep it natural and no dyeing - am keeping my greys :), let's see how the natural hair journey unfolds.

LEOPARD

Happy Monday! I am now fully recharged and I must say I enjoyed the break. I really loved this dress top when I bought it and I have now worn it twice, first time never made it to the blog. Sincerely, I am not feeling it and since my sister Daisy has been eyeing it, I think it deserves a better home. So, goodbye. Have a great week folks.

BREAK TO RECHARGE

Happy Friday! I hope you have had a good week. Well, I am taking a one week break from posting on the blog. I need to recharge. I will be back on 22nd June 2015. On to today's post, I wore this dress to my uncle's funeral. My general rule at funerals is to always avoid dressing in black, I leave the color for the nuclear family.

I have worn this dress before a perfect vintage dress from the 1980's.And my Mom chose African wear with a twist.
If you look at my eyes you will read TIRED, yes, I haven't caught a wink the past 24 hours. See you when I get back!!zzzzzzzzzzz

PLAID + VINTAGE BLUE SKIRT

Happy Monday! I have worn this top before and I have always paired it with colors that are in the plaid patters. Today I decided to pair it with an off color and I am happy with the outcome.

GRADUATION PARTY

Happy Friday! As you are already aware  my Mom graduated with a Masters Degree in Educational Management last Friday. The party was held on Saturday 30/05/2015. It had rained heavily the previous day and therefore anything close to heels was a no because it was a garden party. Your heels sinking into the ground is not a good feeling.
I wore red and toned it down  with black, always a powerful color.

Below are some of the pictures captured in the event.
