HUGE COLLAR

Happy Monday! Sorry for the unannounced disappearance. The rains are finally here and the weather has not been good. With it raining in the morning and cloudy days, it is almost impossible to have any photos taken. And I also took time to do some farm work, sowing sorghum.

To the outfit, this was randomly put together, and I like how it turned out. With the rains it also means that the temperatures are lower now and therefore I have a chance now to wear sweaters and blazers. It's been awhile.
I belted this sweater to define my waist line and am loving the huge collar.

RECYCLED

Happy Wednesday!, I trust you week is going on well. This is an outfit I have worn before here and the only difference is that I added the belt. I find it to be a timeless fit and this top will be around for a looong time.Loving how the belt defines the waist.

MEH!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. Today I have great pieces from my closet but I am not feeling this outfit. I can't even put my finger on what is off with it. I guess a bad fashion day?

KNITTED & BEADED

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going on well. I think I have made up my mind on this sun dress (you can also read skirt). It is a skirt, but I find it best suited to be a sun dress. I have worn it here, here, here and here.

This beaded and knitted top adds an edge to this outfit, believe me without it, the outfit is quite plain. Because of the silver beads I muted the glitter with African pendant and brown earrings, which definitely still have a hint of silver.
Tell me, have you ever worn a skirt as a dress?

BEADED BELT

Happy Monday! I trust you had a lovely weekend. The long rains should be starting this month and that means we are on the tail end of summer. Before we say goodbye I pulled out this vest from the closet. I still look forward to layering it in the colder weather. The last time I wore it here I used red belt and shoes, today I accessorized with blue and I love how everything turned out.

This beaded belt is a gem, it is not a perfect fit because the knot ends at a bout 2 inches big but tying it over a vest or sweater makes it hold just fine.

SCARVED

Happy Monday and March! The year moving quite fast. The temperatures are still high and I keep looking for ways to keep cool in the insane temperatures. Well, today I tied two scarves together to form the top am wearing, toooooo many compliments. The softness of the silk on the skin is also heavenly.  Just another way of wearing a scarf.
