CROPPED DENIM + PEASANT SKIRT

Happy Friday! This peasant skirt makes a quick come back to the blog. The temperatures are still high and that still means that I have to get more creative with my summer wear.

I paired it with this holey tee that makes me breathe in the hot sun. I then added the cropped denim jacket and popped the collar to make it edgy. I am loving popped collars of late.

I see this outfit making an appearance in the cold weather too, some boots and a fur or puffer jacket would do. Wishing you a lovely weekend folks.

BUDDY

Happy Wednesday! Today I introduce to you my friend Osama. It is one of the four dogs that is at home. It was adopted about 2 months ago. It took it two weeks to get used to its new home. It was named Osama by its previous owner and we decided as a family to just keep the name.

Our photo session together was not easy because it was demanding for some cuddling and back rubbing. I of course refused because it never wants to let go and I was also running late for work. The weather was really dull, not good lighting for taking shots.

Always alert and it has made me appreciate dogs. We never had pets as children and this is new to me. I must confess the cuddling is sometimes more beneficial to me than Osama. It helps me relax especially in the evening after a long day at work.

BLINGED!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a restful weekend. I had a light bulb moment when I saw this belt on Mom's sewing machine. I quickly put together this outfit with the belt in mind. All the while praying that she was not planning on using it today. I asked her for it to wear and she agreed.

The belt being silver, I decided to accessorize with silver too. I added the choker, earrings and this sweater top with silver threads and voila! Too many compliments came my way, even strangers stopping to tell me that I am well and smartly dressed..... that can never hurt a girl :)

SHEER BLOUSE :: DAY MEETS NIGHT

Happy Friday! The last time I wore this blouse was last year around February. It is a piece that works well for both day and night. I wore it with a holey tank underneath. It was gifted to me by Mom several years ago and I intend to keep it around for long. I look forward to pairing it with a skinny jeans and I think it can pair well with leather tights for a night look.

And today I get to show you the killer slit on this pencil skirt. I keep thinking of new ways of pairing it, such a versatile piece.

PALE YELLOW

Happy Wednesday! We are in summer but the mornings are unbearably cold. I therefore pulled this knitted skirt to keep the cold at bay. And because I can always add a jacket and remove it later on a top to wear is not a challenge. I look forward to wearing this top as a dress, by adding tights to the outfit. For now it will pass as a blouse. I finally got a hair cut, it's been overdue :)

CROPPED PANT + ARSENAL JERSEY

Happy Monday! Wore this outfit this past weekend. I just needed an outfit that is laid back and comfortable. I therefore just pulled out my jersey and these cropped pants and voila! there is my simple outfit for a slow weekend and the icing on the cake is that Arsenal FC beat Machester City.

I am a fan of Arsenal Football Club and the number at the back of my jersey is for football legend Thierry Henry and currently worn by Theo Walcott. I may have to give a way these open shoes, they are lovely but not on my feet. They just have to go.

PEASANT SKIRT

Happy Friday! Another piece that is proving to be versatile is this gifted peasant skirt.I have worn this exact outfit before, unfortunately it did not make it to the blog and a repeat was definite.  I look forward to also styling it in cooler weather and boots come to my mind.

We are currently experiencing longer nights. That means that even by 7.00 am it is still impossible to take any shots because of poor natural lighting. I will still strive to make posts anyway.

TIE N' DIE + WHITE

Happy Wednesday! This is another random outfit. The objective was just to dress right for the weather. Quite a minimal outfit. I guess some days are just that - flat.

MORE SEQUINS

Happy Monday! Hoping you had a restful weekend. With the temperatures at all time highs, I grab every chance to bring out any wearable summer item in my closet. Of late there have been a lot of bare backs if you have been keen.
Loving this weather and I need to shop for more shorts. The only downside for me with this kind of weather is that I am not a fan of sandals and open shoes. This is because my feet dry so much and even crack. For the time being, closed shoes will just be fine and sandals once in a while.

This outfit was built around the sequined vest. I therefore went for silver jewelry and grey to keep it more neutral. And the vintage skirt gets another wear.

SEQUINS

Happy Friday!. I trust you have had a good week. I have been quite busy and am also having very early mornings. Taking photos is proving to be a challenge because it's quite dark by the time am leaving the house. I will still try though to give you the best shots.

If you are keen, you have realized that these shoes are a favourite. And they will be around often. I have played about with this pairing for awhile now in my mind, and since summer is here for the next two months light comfy clothing is key. This lace sequined top is just airy and I can breath in it well in the scorching sun. This skirt is again proving to be a versatile piece in my closet. And I keep loving the length. It has a killer slit at the back, next time I shall remember to take a back shot.

I have been looking for a lipstick brand that works for my lips. Finally I got my match, Mac. Lasts whole day and doesn't crack my lips. I bought a lavender shade. This will do for now. Now the search is on for a foundation that will work for my very sensitive face.
