GOODBYE :NAIVASHA
Happy Wednesday! I hope you are ready and excited about Christmas as I am. Our last day in Naivasha was short. Immediately after breakfast, we set off for Nairobi. If you have been keen, you will notice that the clothes that I packed were of the grey shade. That was to help me in dressing up without carrying my whole wardrobe. I never like packing a lot of clothes when travelling and I therefore go for outfits that can even be worn twice before washing them. I will be taking a break so no posts till next year. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy 2015.

Happy Friday and Happy Birthday to me. Well, my birthday is actually tomorrow 20th December. Since I don't post on Saturdays and I had to inform you of this day, the post comes today.
Before I turned 30 I was not so keen on celebrating my birthday. That changed and I am all for the celebrations, good lunch outing with family or just a good home cooked meal always is enough.

WEEKEND GETAWAY:NAIVASHA DAY 1
Happy Wednesday! I hope you have been fine. Well, I had a weekend getaway with my girls last weekend to Naivasha and that explains my lack of posts.
We have an investment group with 5 of my girls and every year we take time to just bond together beyond the money matters.
For the first day as we were getting accustomed to the environment much of the time was spent at the swimming pool. I can't swim and I am not willing to learn either. I therefore decided to just lounge as I watch my girls enjoy the water. I had the above outfit and the scarf is a gift from one of the girls, Saturday is my birthday and therefore they took time to also present me with gifts. I added the cape later in the evening when it got chilly.

AGENDA : KEEP WARM
Happy Monday! Our summer has been short lived. The short rains are already here. I am glad that it rains late evening or at night and some days we are lucky to have the sun shine. It can get very chilly when it rains and therefore this outfit had just my warmth in mind. I am glad it turned out well though lacking in color. The colors are quite dull.
I would have done boots but the temperatures again get unbearably high in the course of the day.
I am also loving the mixture of plaid on the skirt and stripes on the sweater top.

LONG VEST OR DRESS?
Happy Friday! When I bought this black piece at the thrift market, all I knew was that I had to have it. Didn't know whether it was a long vest or dress. I think that decision will always depend on how I decide to wear it. Like today it is a dress.
I also like that I can also layer it during the cold seasons. It definitely meets my versatility rule on an outfit. The zipper at the back can be opened to make it a more edgy long vest plus I got it for a steal $0.50, how about that!

BRIGHT : GET YOUR SHADES ON
Happy Wednesday! I think it is the sunshine. I love all the popping colors in this outfit. The outfit was built around the blouse. With Multiple strips of grey, blue, orange and yellow, I feel this blouse provides many opportunities for pairings. Another achieved goal in purchasing it.

ONE SKIRT MANY WAYS
Happy December and World AIDS Day! I hope you are doing everything to make the world an AIDS free place. Know your status, abstain, be faithful and use condoms and please DON'T STIGMATIZE!. Very excited about this month because I am a December baby. I hope you had a restful weekend. Well this skirt is one of the versatile pieces in my wardrobe. There's always a new pairing possibility and it best meets my recycling goal when it comes to an outfit.

Happy Wednesday! Loving summer weather, and this maxi dress makes another appearance (also worn here). I like this dress because it can also be worn in cooler weather by simply adding a sweater.
