Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was mostly spent ironing clothes. I had more than a month's wear to iron. I am glad the task is done. I added an obi belt to this outfit, just to try and style it differently otherwise I always feel that it is a complete outfit. It is also cotton lined and therefore there was no need for an outer coat.

GIFTED : : AFRICAN PRINT SHORT
Happy Wednesday!I hope you are having a great week. The short I am wearing today is tailored. Getting a pair of shorts from the thrift market that is your desired fitting and length is always a challenge. T
he other challenge was to get a tailor that could give me what I want, so I have had this gifted African print material for over three years. I finally found a tailor that I can work with. I am loving the length and the fit, and the fact that I can wear it in both hot and cold weather.
With also the numerous colors in the patterns means that I can style it with a number of differently colored tops.

JUMPSUIT
Happy Wednesday! Finally my search comes to an end. I have been on the search for a jumpsuit, even tried online but prices were on the higher side (am that thrifty). A random visit to my local thrift market in a heap of skirts I find this jumpsuit and to add in African jungle prints. Such a score and for just 3 dollars. I used black accessories but I look forward to wearing it with red accessories, I love color that adds life to an outfit.

REPEAT OFFENDER - AFRICAN WEAR
Happy Monday folks. I have worn this outfit before here. What I find with African prints is that they are complete by themselves and therefore accessorizing is always by adding jewelery, scarves or belts and also wearing the skirt and tops as separates. Today I added an Obi belt to this outfit and an African pendant necklace. Going with the prints I added the zebra striped shoes. How else would you style your African print?Let us get chatting on the comments.

REPEAT OFFENDER - AFRICAN PRINT
Happy Monday folks. I have worn this dress before here. As it is, the only different ways I think of styling it is with contrasting colors for head wraps, shoes, necklace and maybe a belt. This time the focus was on color red. I apparently include a lot of red in my outfits but surprisingly it is not my favourite color. And this was a mid day shot, all shadows falling on my face. Always a no no.

AFRICANA
This African print was a fabric gift from my Mom. I then took it to my tailor who charged me Ksh. 1500.00 for making it. My input was just that it get's a high waist and be long to reach my ankles. I get to wear this dress at most twice a year. I look forward to more years of wearing it, a timeless piece it is.
Well, I thought of tying a blue head wrap but to add more color, I went with yellow and a touch of red with the flower. African attires are bold and therefore am still in search of some bold jewelery to wear with this outfit. Lovely day folks.

COMPROMISE
I really wanted to wear high heeled open shoes with this outfit. That had to change, I don't like getting wet toes when it rains, which has been the case of late. So i grudgingly wore these closed shoes, and am still on the search for high heeled red, green, yellow and blue shoes. Well, until then...Enjoy your weekend folks.

AFRICAN PRINT
Well, the cold rainy weather is still here and because of the heavy nature of African print I find this outfit suitable. Really no need of adding a sweater to the outfit which can be a burden when the sun comes out.
I added the knitted poncho. This is a great bargain I bought over a year ago. Would want to wear it over a bikini at the beach. A girl can dream, right?

POP OF COLOR
I love the versatility of the skirt I am wearing today. Being patterned, any top combination is acceptable. I have always worn it with single color tops but I definitely intend to wear it with a patterned top too sometime.
I added a pop of color with the knitted necklace. I sometimes engage in DIYs to relax and just free my mind.
