REVERSED

Happy Wednesday! I wore this skirt on the reverse and I am liking the slit statement from the front, not a bad idea. Paired it with this sweater top (also here)that makes a second appearance to the blog. I decide to go with a bare neck, my take is that this top should always be worn with a neck piece, otherwise I felt 'naked' around my neck the whole day.

BABY BLUE

Happy Monday! I hope you have enjoyed your weekend. This is a randomly put together outfit and I am happy how the colors built a round baby blue match like they were bought together. I am always surprised at the combos I continue to get from shopping my closet.

I am also happy to tell you that I was featured at www.girlswithglasses.com

RECYCLING

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and valentine. I have always worn this African print skirt with its matching top. The temperatures are still very high and I therefore dropped the top and wore this light beige one. I am impressed by their matching, they look like the combo was meant to be. I added the slim belt more of just as an accessory.

VINTAGE + OBI BELT

Happy Friday! Finally the weekend is here. I think I have finally got a way of wearing this skirt. It looks better when I tuck in the top worn with it. I added an Obi belt to accentuate the waist an I continue to love the popped up collar.

Enjoy the weekend and happy valentine's day.

NEUTRALS

Happy Wednesday! I trust you are doing fine. Well, I have had this trouser for almost 7 years now. It must be a size 14. It must be from the early 1980s, judging from the material which is nylon. The label reads "Wonder woman" which I am almost sure has no relation to the fictional wonder woman superhero character. It is a piece I rarely wear because of its size, but every time I wear it, I am convinced that it is a piece that will be in my closet for along time.

This light sweater top was a gift from Mom. I have worn it severally and am even surprised that it has never made an appearance on the blog. The V at the front is quite deep and I therefore used the DIY brooch to cover up the extra v. The belt is just to hold the trouser, otherwise if it fit well, I would do without it.

RED+BLACK

Happy Monday! I trust you had a lovely weekend. The temperatures are still at a high. With highs of 35 degrees, you almost want to be just in your birthday suit :)

Another simple combo of black and red. And that belt makes a very big difference in the outfit.
Wishing you a great week.

SHOPPING MY CLOSET

Happy Friday! I am a frugal girl. I believe looking good doesn't have to be expensive and making purchases every other day. Whenever I buy a clothing item or accessory I always look at at least 5 ways of styling it. That way it means that I will have many outfits with just a single item. Today I am sharing with you some items in my closet that I have recycled several times and still offer more possibilities of styling.

This post will also be featured at www.luciamusau.com and there are goodies to be won as well by bloggers who participate in the competition and also an opportunity to be featured in the fashion blog.

One item to address was the question of how online food delivery makes my life easier. Well, where I am currently based, Siaya, no restaurants offer online food delivery services but I got a way to beat that. I have my cupcakes guy on speed dial and so is my fruit salad guy and ground nuts lady. I mostly do fruit salad for lunch.

Having visited hello food I loved the layout and also the fact that all details are there for display, no hidden charges that would surprise you at delivery and a plus is that their site loads veeery fast. Can you believe a site taking forever to load and you are hungry?  I also  realized that they currently only cover Nairobi. Are Kisumu, Nakuru, Mombasa in the pipeline? A girl can dream, right?

For the giveaway host,  what would I want to see more at www.luciamusau.com? Always lovely outfits of course. I think you can introduce a weekly, or may be monthly link up that can have a number of bloggers sharing their posts and you being the host and maybe having a co host to give up coming bloggers an audience.
